Lauren is the Senior Conservation Director of Tropical Audubon Society. She has a M.S. degree in Biology with a focus in Conservation Biology and Population Ecology. She serves on the Board of the Society of Conservation Biology North America as the VP of Policy and Programs and on the Board of the Everglades Coalition. Her background includes science communication, environmental permitting/policy, land use planning and coastal ecology.
Karen is the Miami-Dade County Liaison for The Surfrider Foundation Miami Chapter where she created a program called SEAS: Swim. Explore. Act. Surf. It’s a 3-part program that’s a path to advocacy and opportunity for underrepresented kids and families. SHe also serves on the Virgina Key
Erin inspires the next generation of ocean advocates as Miami Waterkeeper's Education and Outreach Manager. A Michigan native, Erin followed her passion for marine science to sunny Florida where she earned her Bachelor's in Environmental Studies from Rollins College and Master's in Marine Conservation from the University of Miami's prestigious Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science. With over eight years of experience at conservation organizations nationwide, Erin brings a wealth of knowledge about marine ecosystems and a contagious enthusiasm for protecting our blue planet.
Melissa specializes in Urban and Coastal Resilience, and is currently a Senior Management Consultant with Arcadis.
Barbara is a former educator that now serves as the ED for Dream in Green, a non-profit whose mission is to empower individuals to tackle environmental issues in their community.
Hannah is currently a Naturalist at Biscayne National Park Institute. Her research background is with seagrass-associated species in Biscayne Bay and Florida Bay. The research conducted while earning her M.S. in Marine Biology and Ecology focused on juvenile fish growth as it relates to the effects of Everglades restoration under the guidance of Dr. Joan Browder.
